Finally got that crispy, golden crust on my steaks that I've been chasing for months. The weight of the cast iron presses down evenly so the whole surface sears at once, and cleanup is just a quick rinse.
The even heat distribution is exactly what I needed for getting that golden crispy crust on my burgers, and the weight does all the work so I don't have to press down myself. The cast iron gets hot fast and stays hot, which makes a real difference in the sear.
