The first time I used it, a splash hit the guard instead of my arm, and I actually laughed out loud. It's lightweight enough that I forget it's clipped on until the oil starts popping, and my cat finally stopped bolting from the kitchen.

I'm pretty sure my counters have never been this clean after frying day, and the custom fit means I don't have to adjust it mid-cook like I did with other guards. The splatter really does stay in the pan now, even when I'm flipping stuff aggressively.
