Trivet plissé

The heat really does lift off the table with this one; I noticed the difference the first time I set a bubbling pan on it. The sunburst base holds steady and looks sharp enough that I’ve left it out between meals.

The sunburst shape catches everyone’s eye before dinner even starts, and it’s sturdy enough that I don’t worry about scorching the table with a hot skillet. Honestly, it’s the rare add-on that makes the meal feel more special without getting in the way.

Finally a trivet that doesn’t look like an afterthought—the sunburst shape is such a nice touch and holds a heavy Dutch oven without wobbling. It’s sturdy enough for everyday use but pretty enough to leave out on the counter.
